Step 1 GHOSTUD Installation
Step 1: Mark Your Spot

Choose your desired mounting location and mark the center with a pencil.

Ensure there are no studs behind the wall, as GHOSTUD® anchors cannot mount into stud locations.

Step 2: Drill a 1” or 2″ Hole
Attach the 1″ hole saw to your power drill.
Drill a hole in your drywall, centered on the mark from Step 1.
Step 3: Insert the Backing Plate
Remove the screw that holds the Wall Plug and Backing Plate together.
Insert the Backing Plate into the drilled hole and position it so it sits vertically behind the wall.
Step 4: Secure the Anchor
Reconnect the Backing Plate and Wall Plug using the included screw.

Hand-tighten the screw with a Phillips head screwdriver—do not use a power drill for this step, as it can damage the GHOSTUD®.

Step 5: Ready for Mounting

Your GHOSTUD® anchor is now installed! For maximum strength, mount directly into the Wall Plug using screws.

For lighter items, you can also secure them by placing screws through the drywall to engage the Backing Plate.

Note: Mounting anywhere in the plug is recommended. For single screw mounting, you may utilize the bolt that holds together the wall plug and backing plateFor lighter loads, you may screw into the backing plate through the drywall only. We recommend drilling a pilot hole in the GHOSTUD prior to mounting, depending on the type of screws you are using.
